Cuppa Muswell Hill

A Cuppa Muswell Hill is an exhibition displaying a series of coffee art. The paintings are of notable buildings around the Muswell Hill area.

These paintings also use 'Augmented Reality' technology. Using the Layar App (ios and android available), you can reveal the history of each building that has been painted by viewing them through your iPad or smartphone.

Say hello to Colin

As a child, I always enjoyed art. Be it drawing, building things out of boxes, carving into pieces of wood, or melting different toys together. Basically creating art out of anything that I could get my hands on!

Now, as an adult, I'm constantly undertaking personal projects to try out new ways of creating art, and this series of paintings is no different. As here I'm combining traditional art using coffee with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The AR part of the painting is more of a hidden bonus to the picture, so in no way diminishes your enjoyment of the painstaking pieces of art that I've created, if you do decide not to use AR. But if you can, you should definitely give it a go!

This is my first exhibition in London, so I do hope you enjoy these pieces.

Here are a few more bits about my creative background, other than my toy melting days!

I did my Foundation in Art and Design at the London Institute. I then did my HND in Graphic Design, followed by my BA Hons in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins.

I am currently working as a Senior Creative at RIMA Design – A London based design agency.
I am also a member of the Chartered Society of Designers.

Other personal projects in the pipeline include a children's picture book and an animation using shadows and projections.
